Instant Destination

Despite the Cavaliers being on the verge of getting swept by the Warriors, James has proven that he is still the best player in the NBA. He is doing everything in his power to help the Cavaliers win games, but he just cannot bring down the juggernaut that is the Warriors by himself.

James is still on a different level when it comes to production. If the Lakers were able to sign him, they would instantly become a playoff team. Not only that, but they would also become a destination for players to want to play.

Los Angeles already has its perks off the court. If you add James on the court, your success in free agency will instantly improve. People want to play alongside James. It is a lock for a playoff spot and basically guarantees that you will be a contender.

Who doesn’t want that? The Lakers are one of the most prominent franchises in the history of the NBA. But, they have struggled in recent seasons as they transition out of the Kobe Bryant era. They have missed the postseason for four consecutive seasons. Signing James would effectively end that streak.
