Versatility

Lonzo Ball is not known for his athleticism, but it is one of the better abilities that he brings along with him. Ball is an explosive leaper, which catches some opponents by surprise. He also stands 6-feet-5 inches tall, so he is difficult to defend.

That size also enables him to play either backcourt spot. Ball can play as the lead guard or off ball as the shooting guard. He has a diverse skill set which the Lakers would be happy to take advantage of.

While Ball is not a strong defender right now, he is easier to hide than some players because of his size. He is capable of defending both backcourt spots, which is a plus. While he may need work on that end of the work, he has the tools to make it work; you cannot teach that size.

Ball will more than likely spend a majority of his time on the court as the point guard. But, it is nice to know that he is capable of sliding over if the need arises.
