After a disappointing end to their season, the Toronto Raptors made a good selection with the 23rd overall pick. Last season, we saw the Raptors attempt to gear up to take down the Cleveland Cavaliers.

During the season, the Raptors added Serge Ibaka, who they thought might be the final piece to the puzzle. Despite adding Ibaka, the Raptors were swept by the Cavaliers, and that could lead to change in Toronto. With Kyle Lowry being a free agent, the Raptors could be a very different looking team if he walks in free agency.

As of now, the Raptors can only control what they did in the NBA Draft. With the 23rd pick, the Raptors took a potential draft steal in OG Anunoby. Prior to tearing his ACL in January, Anunoby was projected to be a lottery pick in the draft.

When healthy, Anunoby can guard multiple positions on the defensive end of the court. On offense, he can stretch the floor with a decent three-point shot. The Raptors might not see Anunoby for a good chunk of the season, but this is a great pick for the future. If he recovers properly from surgery, the Raptors will have a very talented player on their team.
