With the 25th overall pick in the first round, the Philadelphia 76ers made their second selection of the draft. The 76ers obviously got rave reviews for drafting Markelle Fultz with the first overall pick in the draft.

The combination of Fultz, Ben Simmons, and Joel Embiid has the potential to be one of the best in the NBA when they are all healthy. However, Simmons and Embiid have had injury problems, and that will have to be monitored.

While this might be one of the best trios in the NBA in a few years, the 76ers will have to have other talented players to play around them. Late in the first round, the 76ers hope they got a player who can help in a few years.

With the 25th overall pick, the 76ers selected Anzejs Pasecniks from Latvia. As a former teammate of Kristaps Porzingis, scouts like the potential of Pasecniks as well. While he might not be as good as Porzingis, he should be a solid player in the NBA. At 7’0”, Pasecniks could be a valuable weapon off the bench for the 76ers in a few years. While he might ready to come over now, expect to see the 76ers stash him for a year or two.
