Washington Wizards
Wizard fans might not be too thrilled about this due to Young’s history with the team. It might be a nightmare for the fans to imagine Nick Young in a Wizards uniform again. However, it is undeniable that the Wizards need a scorer to back up John Wall and Bradley Beal. Bringing Young back to Washington gives the team scoring off the bench.
The Wizards finished fourth place in the East with a 49-33 record. They lost to the Boston Celtics in the second round of the playoffs.
While it is a good fit, would Young and the Wizards be open to a reunion? Young has publicly stated that he hates the Wizards as an organization to the Washington Post.
"“I hate the Wizards,” Young said. “But I like some of the guys over there, I just hate the Wizards.”"
Ok, so the reunion probably isn’t happening but this is about fit. Wizards need bench help and Young brings scoring and average-ish defense. After Wall and Beal, there isn’t much for the Wizards to rely on. Bojan Bogdanovic is a good option but they need more than that.
The Wizards priorities this summer should be to add solid backups for Wall and Beal. Putting differences aside, Young would be a good fit for the Wizards.
