OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – MARCH 20: Alex Caruso #21 of the Texas A&M Aggies reacts against the Northern Iowa Panthers during the second round of the 2016 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament at Chesapeake Energy Arena on March 20, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. (Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images) /

Alex Caruso; Point Guard

Alex Caruso is a player that has continued to grow after his time at college. Caruso attended Texas A&M where he was a good, not great player. He was able to land with the Oklahoma City Blue last season and he performed very well.

Caruso showed an improved jump shot with the Blue. After making only 34 percent of his three-pointers with the Aggies, he made 40.1 percent with the Blue. He appeared in 50 games with the Blue, starting 46, averaging 11.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 2.2 steals per game.

He is someone that the Lakers could look to add into their pipeline, especially if he continues to show improvement from the three-point line. Caruso’s defense is another thing that the Lakers would like; three-point shooting and defense are arguably the two biggest needs for the Lakers this offseason.

Caruso showed the necessary skills that you like to see from a floor general. The Blue was one of the best teams in the G-League last season, and Caruso was a big reason why. The Lakers could be in the market for a point guard this offseason. With a strong summer league showing, Caruso could parlay that into a training camp invite.
