Physical Profile
The first area of comparison of note between the two forwards is their extremely similar physical profile.
Currently, Antetokounmpo is listed at 6’11 inches tall with a 7’3 wingspan. However, as a rookie, he was said to around 6’9-6’10 as he continued to grow throughout his inaugural season in the NBA.
These measurables are nearly identical to that of Ingram’s at the moment, who stands at 6’9- 6’10 inches in height as well, with an equally impressive 7’3 wingspan.
What’s more, while filling out his frame considerably during his time in the NBA, Giannis came into the league weighing approximately 196 pounds, which is precisely what Ingram was listed at on draft night.
Thus, from a purely physical standpoint, it is easy to see why the two players are often compared to one another given their nearly identical frames.
However, it should be noted that the appropriately nicknamed “Greek Freak” is arguably more athletic than Ingram as he is said to boast a max vertical leap of around 40 inches and is visibly quicker on the floor.
This said, the Duke product still possesses decent athletic ability with a max vertical upwards of 36 inches, while also being able to move around the court relatively swiftly for his size.
