The Los Angeles Lakers will be facing off against the Sacramento Kings on Monday night in the Las Vegas Summer League. Here are three players to watch.
The 2017 Summer League has not gone to plan for the Los Angeles Lakers. Despite having one of the most talented rosters in Las Vegas, the Lakers have yet to win a game.
In their first game against the Los Angeles Clippers, the Lakers got off to a very strong start. However, the Clippers outplayed the Lakers badly in the second half. With some help from a great game from Brandon Ingram, the Lakers were able to force overtime. Unfortunately for Ingram and the Lakers, he suffered a cramp on the final play of regulation and was unable to play in the overtime session.
The following night, the Lakers faced off against a talented Celtics team. Like against the Clippers, the Lakers got off to a hot start only to see the Celtics eventually win the game. On Monday night, the Lakers will be facing off against the Kings and their young backcourt of De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield.
Fox was one of the players that the Lakers were certainly considering during the NBA Draft, as he was a great player at Kentucky. With Fox and Ball on the court together, we will see a rematch of their meeting in the NCAA Tournament. As two extremely talented young guards, their head-to-head matchup will be a great one to watch. With that being said, here are three players to watch for the Lakers in their third Summer League game on Monday night.
