Los Angeles Lakers: 3 Players to watch against Cleveland Cavaliers
By Nick Ziegler
Lonzo Ball
Without a doubt, one of the players to watch for the Lakers on Thursday night will be Lonzo Ball. Ball’s Summer League debut didn’t go according to plan, but he has been extremely impressive the last two games.
Starting against the Boston Celtics, Ball was able to showcase what he can do on the basketball court. While many believed that he is just a passer, Ball has shown that he can stuff a stat sheet. In the loss to the Celtics, Ball was able to record a triple-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists.
Following the triple-double, Ball missed the Lakers win against the Kings. However, he came back and looked fantastic in the win against the 76ers. In the first half, Ball was playing his normal game of setting up his teammates. However, in the second half, he absolutely took the game over.

Instead of driving and dishing, Ball looked more for his shot, and he ended up with 36 points. In addition to the game-high 36 points from Ball, he also totaled 11 assists, eight rebounds, five steals, and two blocks. Ball showed an ability to completely take over a game on both ends of the court. After his best game of the Summer League, it will be interesting to see how Ball plays against the Cavaliers.
