Lonzo Ball
Unless you have been living under a rock for the last week or so, you have heard about Lonzo Ball’s exploits. The UCLA star point guard got off to a horrific start in Las Vegas, as he shot 2-of-15, 1-of-11 from deep, against the Los Angeles Clippers. He got trashed by fans and media alike but has bounced back in a big way since.
In his second game, Ball recorded a triple-double, scoring 11 points with 11 rebounds and 11 assists. He sat out against the Sacramento Kings but has been dominant again in the past two games.
In the come from behind win over the Philadelphia 76ers, Ball recorded 36 points with 11 assists and eight rebounds. In the last game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Ball triple-doubled once again. Ball recorded 16 points with 10 rebounds and 12 assists.
While his shooting has been off, as he has made only 35.7 percent from the field and 19.4 percent from deep, Ball has looked great. His passing skills have been on full display and he has shown well defensively. He is averaging 3.3 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.
Ball is stuffing the stat sheet in the summer league and should continue to do so against the Nets. What will make this game challenging is that he will be going up against some NBA players? Whitehead and Dinwiddie both have starting experience in the NBA and figure to matchup with Ball throughout the evening.

How will Ball play against NBA-level opponents? He has looked very comfortable after that first game, so it would not be surprising to see him continue playing very well. In his four games, Ball is averaging 17 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 9.8 assists; the rebounds and assists both lead the team.
