Lakers All-Time Team Snub No. 1: Lamar Odom

The biggest snub from the Lakers All-Time team is versatile forward, Lamar Odom. He suffers the same fate that Green and Mikkelsen did as forward is absolutely loaded in Lakers history. However, a strong case can be made for Odom.

Odom was an electric forward that had the skills of a guard. Much like Magic Johnson did for the Showtime Lakers, Odom could play every position for the Lakers teams he was on. Despite having the talent to be a starter, Odom put the team first and shifted to the bench. The results were great.

After starting every game he played in his first four seasons with the Lakers, Odom was shifted to the Sixth Man role and the team took off. The Lakers would win back-to-back titles in 2009 and 2010, and Odom was an integral part of that success.

Odom would go on to win the Sixth Man of the Year award for the 2010-11 season as well. After that season, Odom was traded to the Dallas Mavericks and it was the beginning of the end not only for Odom but the Lakers as well.

Odom had the best seasons of his career in the purple and gold. He was a big part of two championship winning teams and was a great teammate. No one would have batted an eye had he been selected to the Lakers All-Time team coming off the bench just like he did for two championship teams.
