Lonzo Ball and Magic Johnson

Just kidding…sort of.

When is the last time a rookie came to LA with this kind of pressure and these kinds of expectations? Already labeled as the face of the franchise by none other than Magic Johnson, Lonzo is under pressure to elevate the Lakers immediately.

Here’s hoping the Lakers and all of us fans give Ball the chance to be a rookie and make the kind of rookie mistakes we have to assume are coming. There will be replay worthy highlights but there are going to be some cringe-worthy moments as well.

Still, of all the Lakers the pressure might be greatest on Ball to live up to the expectations set for him this season!

Here’s hoping for a great season for our Lakers and some breakout years for the players who need it most!
