– Julius Randle

One of the players who really impressed in the preseason for the Lakers was forward Julius Randle. Despite some uncertainty about his future with the team, Randle has put in a lot of work this offseason to get into the best shape of his career. With free agency being a possibility for Randle this offseason, he is on a mission to not only impress the Lakers but potentially all of the other teams in the NBA.

In the preseason, Randle averaged 13.3 points and 7.3 rebounds in 21.4 minutes per game. Randle was ranked second on the team in points per game and first in rebounds per game. Overall, it was a great preseason for Randle.

Unfortunately, Randle suffered a side strain in the final preseason game for the Lakers against the Clippers. Luckily, it doesn’t appear to be anything too serious, as he hopes to be ready for the opener against the Clippers.

Randle really took his move to the bench in stride, as he and Kyle Kuzma were impressive on the second unit. With him coming off the bench is a possibility this season, Randle could be a featured player with the second unit.
