– Brandon Ingram

One of the disappointments for the Lakers in the loss to the Clippers was the play of Brandon Ingram. There are a lot of expectations for Ingram this season, and he didn’t reach them in the season opener.

This offseason, Ingram worked on improving his jump shot and also to gain strength. In the loss, Ingram once again struggled with his shot, as he went 3-for-15 from the field. Ingram ended up with 12 points, as he was able to get to the free throw line effectively. While seeing Ingram being aggressive and drawing fouls is nice, the Lakers need him to be a more efficient shooter.

Even though Ingram didn’t score efficiently for the Lakers, he was able to total five rebounds and four assists. Ingram certainly has the potential to be a good all-around player for the Lakers, but they need him to improve offensively.

Depending on the starting lineup, Ingram might be matched up against Devin Booker. Booker is one of the top young guards in the NBA, and the matchup between him and Ingram could be a really fun one to watch. Booker is a proven scorer already in the NBA, and Ingram will have to be locked in defensively against him.
