Brandon Ingram

Brandon Ingram came up huge tonight for the Lakers. He has struggled at times getting his shot going, as defenders have pushed him off his spot and made him work for his points. Tonight, Ingram was able to get it going just in time to help get the Lakers a win.

Ingram led the Lakers with 19 points, shooting 8-of-16 from the field and knocking down all three of his free throw attempts. He also pulled down 10 rebounds, the first double-double of his NBA career.

Ingram scored 15 points in the second half, stepping up when the Lakers needed him most. He made a number of mid-range jump shots, including a nice one over John Wall. He also made the final shot of regulation to force the game into over. Ingram drove the lane, missed his shot but was able to tip it in to tie the game.

This kind of efficiency is what the Lakers are hoping to see more of from Ingram. He still needs to find the consistency on his three-point shot, but he has looked more confident lately in the mid-range at least.

The second half was great to see as Ingram went isolation multiple times with confidence against strong defenders such as Wall, Beal, Kelly Oubre and Otto Porter.
