Free Throws

The Lakers were solid against the Bucks defensively, but let them attempt 26 free throws. Their season average of opponent free throws attempted sits at 21.8, thirteenth in the league, so this was a bit much. Milwaukee returned the favor, however, as they allowed the team to attempt 37 free throws.

Los Angeles, however, was unable to capitalize on this opportunity as they only converted on 22 free throws. The Bucks also completed 22 free throws, but to put this into perspective the Lakers shot 59.5 percent from the line compared to Milwaukee’s 84.6 percent.

On the bright side, the team did make it to the line 37 times. The Lakers rank tenth in free throws attempted per game with 24.2. If the team cannot make more free throws, the least they should do is continue to get to the line.
