On Wednesday night, there will be a big showdown out West, as the Philadelphia 76ers face off with the Los Angeles Lakers. Here are three matchups to watch.

With NBA season already in November, we are starting to get a good gauge on where some teams stand. For the Los Angeles Lakers, they have been about where most people expected, as a tough road trip knocked them a few games below .500.

As a young team this season, winning games on the road will be difficult for the Lakers. However, they have played well at home so far this season, and that is certainly an encouraging step for them.

On Wednesday, the Lakers will be challenged by another one of the top young teams in the NBA in the Philadelphia 76ers. So far this season, the 76ers have taken a step forward, as they have trusted the process.

With a 7-6 record, the 76ers very well could be a playoff team this season in the Eastern Conference. The 76ers have been able to keep both Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons healthy so far this season, and that has resulted in good things for them. While first overall pick Markelle Fultz has been injured, the 76ers haven’t missed a beat.

Due to some trash talk this offseason, this game will certainly generate some interest for a game in early November. With a lot of young talent on the floor, there will be some good matchups throughout the game.

With both teams having players playing multiple positions, we will likely see a lot of cross matches on Wednesday night. However, here are three matchups to watch.
