LOS ANGELES, CA – NOVEMBER 13: Robert Covington

Robert Covington vs. Brandon Ingram

With some big names going at it in this game, one of the key matchups will be at the small forward position. As one of the veterans now on the 76ers, Robert Covington is a player that flies under the radar when talking about the team. Due to Simmons, Embiid, and Fultz, many forget that Covington is a really good wing player.

This season, Covington is averaging 16.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. While he might be overshadowed by Embiid and Simmons so far this season, Covington is certainly a big piece for the 76ers.

Against the Lakers, he will be squaring off with one of their young stars in Brandon Ingram. After a tough rookie season, Ingram has certainly taken a step forward this year, especially on the offensive end. So far this season, Ingram is averaging 13.8 points per game, as he has raised his scoring average quite a bit from his rookie season.

For the Lakers, they will need Ingram to play very aggressively in this game. Due to the talent that the 76ers have with Embiid and Simmons, the Lakers will likely need Ingram to win his matchup against Covington if they are going to be able to pull off a win.
