PHOENIX, AZ – NOVEMBER 13: Lonzo Ball

Ben Simmons vs. Lonzo Ball

Easily the top matchup in this game will be the one between two Rookie of the Year hopefuls. As the first overall pick from the 2016 NBA Draft, Ben Simmons is playing extremely well for the 76ers so far this season. As expected his unique size and speed has caused a lot of matchup problems so far this season. With the size of a forward and the speed of a point guard, Simmons is one of the most unique talents in the NBA.

So far this season, Simmons is averaging 17.8 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game. For a rookie, these stats are truly remarkable for Simmons.

On the flip side, Lonzo Ball will be looking to make a statement against one of the top players in the NBA right now. Ball recently became the youngest player in NBA history to record a triple-double. While Ball has had some really good games this season, he has had some duds as well.

Next: Lonzo Ball has been a disappointment

As a rookie, it should be expected to see Ball have off nights from time to time. Simmons might be a rookie as well, his year around the team in the NBA certainly helped his growth. While we might not see the these two matched up every time down the court, this will certainly be a good matchup to watch when they do.
