Free Throws

After nearly a quarter of the season, the Lakers finally had one good game at the charity stripe. The team has struggled heavily from the line all season as they are the worst free throw shooting team in the league – 70.8 percent from the line.

The Lakers shot a remarkable 20/25 from the free throw line in last night’s game. Aside from converting 80 percent from the line as team, individuals stepped their game up as well. Although Lonzo attempted only two free throws, he made both. Brandon Ingram and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope also shot well from the line as they combined to shoot 11/13.

If the Lakers can keep up their high-octane defense and convert on free throws, they can surely see some more wins in their future. Let’s hope these winning ways begin on Saturday when the team pays a visit to the Denver Nuggets.
