This year, the Lakers power forward rotation is a mess. On one part is the son of former NBA legend Larry Nance, Sr… Larry Nance Jr.

Nance Jr. is still continuing to contribute heavily as a starter for the Lakers. His high flying dunks, flashy athleticism on the fast-break, and highlights on defense trigger excitement for the fans of Los Angeles. Larry did play center last year at spots when Zubac and Mozgov were out with injuries. Although he has seen next-to-nothing of that sort, he is still making an impact for the Lakers.

Regardless of his sky-high defensive rating, his effort on plundering opposing ball handlers has been impressive. Nance Jr. is currently averaging over 3.5 SPG per game per 100 possessions. Nance is also shooting nearly 60 percent from the field.

It is hard to base a high grade when a rookie is excelling over you as a starter during a hand injury. However, give Nance Jr. credit for commending his fellow teammates’ success. With just two years left on his contract, Nance Jr. will give it his all to show teams why his DNA is so special.
