Turnovers and Free-Throw Shooting

The Lakers have had two glaring concerns all season long – turnovers and free-throw shooting. The team ranks second-to-last in turnovers per game, while dead last in their free-throw shooting. Against the Warriors, the story was nothing different.

The team shot 68.2 percent from the charity stripe on 22 attempts. Only Brandon Ingram and Julius Randle get to the foul line with any consistency. They are the only two players on the Lakers to average at least three free throw attempts per game thus far this season.

While the Lakers struggled at the foul line, the Warriors made the most of their chances. Golden State shot 81.5 percent from the line on 27 attempts.

The Lakers may be second-to-last in turnovers per game, but the Warriors also rank in the last four. The game lived up to this stat as the Lakers struggled to hold onto the ball with 17 turnovers. Similarly, the Warriors finished with 16 turnovers.
