PHOENIX, AZ – DECEMBER 23: Jimmy Butler

– Lakers beat Timberwolves

For Lakers fans, Christmas would be extra special this season if they are able to get a win. The NBA has a great schedule of games on Christmas Day, starting with the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics at noon.

With a Finals rematch in the afternoon, the Lakers will be the final game of the night. Winning on Christmas will be no easy task for the Lakers, as they will be facing the Minnesota Timberwolves.

After a great offseason, the Timberwolves have lived up to the hype of their strong offseason so far this season. With a 20-13 record, the Timberwolves are one of the best teams in the Western Conference, and this will be yet another challenging game for the Lakers.

December has been full of matchups against tough teams, but the Lakers will be short-handed against Minnesota. After spraining his shoulder against the Portland Trail Blazers, Lonzo Ball will be out on Christmas.

This is certainly poor timing, as he was really starting to play well, and was also shooting the ball much better. In addition to Ball, Brandon Ingram is listed as questionable with a quad injury, as he missed the most recent game against the Trail Blazers. A win on Christmas would certainly be nice for the Lakers, but it would take some magic from Santa to pull off a sizable upset like this.
