Fast Break Points

Fans and haters can say whatever they want about Lonzo Ball, but there are two places where the rookie shines – awareness and passing. Combining these two aspects with Zo’s style of play allows for the team to get points on the break.

In fact, the Lakers lead the league in pace. As we have seen since Summer League, Lonzo is a huge fan of passing. The best part about this, is that his unselfishness spreads to the team. In last night’s win, for example, five players logged in three or more assists.

Lonzo led the way with 11 assists, but the team also continued the generosity and finished with 30 assists. The great ball movement allowed for the Lakers to control the pace of the game as well as constantly catch defenders off guard. All of this combined led to the team having a whopping 35 fast break points.
