Best Win but Worst Free Throw Shooting

Last night the Lakers may have had their best win of the season. Everyone on the team scored, they played great defense, and they won by double-digits without Zo or Ingram. Unfortunately, however, the team still struggled to make free throws.

On the season, L.A. is the worst free throw shooting team as they average a 68.8 success rate. Last night, however, the team shot way worse than their season average. In fact, they had their worst free throw shooting night of the season.

The Lakers only made two of their 14 attempts from the charity stripe last night. Moreover, both of those makes only came from one player – Jordan Clarkson. Historically speaking, the team’s 14.3 percent from the free throw line is the worst in a game in NBA history.

Los Angeles may have done everything else right last night, but if the team continues to shoot so poorly from the line they will not win games. Hopefully, the team can make some free throws when they take on the New York Knicks.
