Jordan Clarkson

With so many injuries to the backcourt, a lot of responsibility has fallen upon the shoulders of Jordan Clarkson. He has been up to the task, as Clarkson has been outstanding the last two games.

Without Lonzo Ball and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in the lineup, Clarkson has picked up as much slack as he could. Against the Pacers, Clarkson scored 33 points, shooting 14-of-19 from the field, including 3-of-6 from deep. He added seven rebounds and seven assists.

Not to be outdone, he dominated against the Knicks in the following game as well. Clarkson scored 29 against the Knicks, shooting 12-of-19 from the field. He finished with a double-double in that game, handing out 10 assists with six rebounds. Against New York, Clarkson played 38 minutes.

If Ball and Caldwell-Pope are both sidelined again against the Celtics, expect Clarkson to play big minutes once again. While he doesn’t start, Josh Hart and Tyler Ennis have been, Clarkson is the go-to guy in the backcourt.
