Los Angeles Lakers
LOS ANGELES, CA – JANUARY 23: Julius Randle

– Julius Randle

Even though the Lakers’ starting five didn’t play well against the Celtics, one player certainly did, and that was Julius Randle. All season, Randle has been one of the most productive players for the Lakers, and he has been able to accumulate some impressive stats when given the chance.

Since moving into the starting five, Randle has certainly thrived. Coming off the bench this season, minutes were inconsistent for Randle. Now that he is a starter, Randle has been able to get into his groove.

Against the Celtics, Randle had one of his best games of the season. After the slow start, Randle went on to total a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Randle only played 26 minutes, but a lot of that was due to the success of the bench unit with both Nance and Kuzma playing well against the Celtics.

While the starting five has had some struggles recently, Randle is certainly still producing for the Lakers. No matter what the role is, Randle has been successful this season. With his ability to create for himself as a power forward or center on the court, Randle can be instant offense. For a team that struggles to score at times, having Randle playing at a high level certainly helps.
