LOS ANGELES, CA – JANUARY 23: Kyle Kuzma

– Kyle Kuzma

Easily one of the players that stepped up for the Lakers in the win against the Celtics was Kyle Kuzma. It has been a fantastic rookie season for Kuzma, and the game against the Celtics will certainly be one of his most memorable in his rookie season.

After playing just 10 minutes against the Knicks on Sunday, Kuzma came out and played very well once again. In the win over the Knicks, Kuzma did score 15 points in his limited action on 6-for-8 shooting from the field. Against the Celtics, the Lakers needed a spark on offense, and Kuzma provided it.

In the win, Kuzma totaled 28 points in 27 minutes to go along with four rebounds and three assists. For a team that struggles to shoot the ball from behind the arc, Kuzma was able to knock down five three-pointers.

Even though he isn’t in the starting lineup anymore, Kuzma is still a very important part of this team both this year and for years to come. In a rivalry game, it was great to see Kuzma come up with one of his best games of the season. Games like the one against the Celtics further proves that Kuzma has the potential to be a great scorer for the Lakers for years to come.
