Oklahoma City Thunder

Current Record: 27-20

Notable Streak: Five-game winning streak, including victories in seven of their last 10 games.

Player to watch: The Big 3, Steven Adams

Where do we start? Russell Westbrook, Paul George, or Carmelo Anthony? All three players are on a roll in the month of January, averaging 25.3, 22.1, and 18.4 points per game respectively.

In the two games so far against the Thunder, both in the month of January, the Lakers have lost by a combined 61 points. The Lakers haven’t been competitive in either game, both of which rookie point guard Lonzo Ball has missed.

Lonzo Ball missed the first two contests because of a shoulder and ankle ailment and might miss the third even though he is traveling with the team on the road trip. Without Lonzo and at the end of a long road trip, expect a possible third blowout.

In addition to the Thunder’s Big 3, Steven Adams had a big game in the most recent matchup. In the first, Thunder small forward Terrance Ferguson had a coming out party, turning the game into his own personal dunk contest.
