Rotation Changing

One issue many fans have had with the Lakers throughout the season is that Luke Walton hasn’t had a set rotation. It seems on an almost nightly basis Walton was using different players in different situations. That is okay for the beginning of the season, but when you are more than halfway through a season, a rotation should be set.

This road trip, that rotation seems to be taking place. Tyler Ennis has been starting whenever Lonzo Ball has been sidelined. That happened the first three games of the trip, and the Lakers went 1-2. He was removed from the starting lineup, and rotation altogether, the final two games and the Lakers went 2-0.

In his place, the Lakers started Josh Hart. Hart plays an excellent all-around game, perfecting his skill set in four years at Villanova. He gets the job done on both ends of the court, as he can score from all over the court and defends multiple positions.

With Ennis out of the rotation, Walton went with Brandon Ingram as the point guard. It was something that the Lakers tried last season, and it did not go well by Ingram did it well in the final two games of the trip. He had 15 assists and five turnovers in the two games.

With Ennis being removed from the rotation, Corey Brewer was inserted back in. He doesn’t play many minutes but provides energy, hustle and a veteran presence for the Lakers.
