Lonzo’s 3-Point Shot Continues to be Off

After the Lakers 128-125 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, it was heavily documented that Lonzo Ball’s shot was off. He shot 7-for-48 from three-point land in the 7 games leading up to Saturday’s game, and 24.6% from the field overall. Many factors have caused him to shoot poorly but it was evident after the Pelicans game it was apparent that most of it was in the rookie’s head. Lonzo may still be in his own head even after the Grizzlies game.

Lonzo shot 1-for-6 from 3-point line to continue his terrible performances lately from 3. On the bright side, the Lakers’ point guard performed well in every other category for the game. He actually almost ended up with a triple-double, with 12 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds. It’s what the rookie has been doing all season, performing well in all other aspects of the game, no matter if his shot is falling or not. Hopefully, Lonzo will continue to do so whether his shot improves or not. Other than that, he would be smart to just get to the end of the season, where he can use the offseason to work out his shot.
