DETROIT, MI – MARCH 26: Lonzo Ball /

How does Lonzo shoot for the rest of the year?

One of the most talked about things this season for the Los Angeles Lakers has been the shooting of Lonzo Ball. Coming out of college, shooting was arguably the biggest question mark for Ball, and some struggles this season hasn’t made those questions disappear.

Due to his strange motion, Ball will likely always be criticized for his jump shot when it doesn’t go in. To start the season, Ball really shot the basketball poorly and that led to people calling him a bust right away.

However, Ball does a lot of great things on the court to make up for whatever shooting woes that he may go through. He is an excellent passer and rebounder at guard, and he has been much better defensively than anyone could have imagined.

Even though he has had some struggles as a shooter, Ball has had some good stretches shooting the basketball this season. Unfortunately, injuries this season have been a bit of an issue for Ball and his rhythm, as missing time is not easy for any professional player.

While he has shown signs of improvement shooting from the field and three-point range this season, he must improve as a free throw shooter. Seeing Ball shooting under 50 percent from the free throw line is unacceptable, and should be one of the main things he focuses on for the remaining games this season.
