Los Angeles Lakers: Lonzo Ball’s top 5 games of the 2017-18 season
October 20th – Lakers @ Suns (W, 132-130)
29 points (4/9 on 3-pointers), 11 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 steal
After the Lakers second game of the season on October 20th, you might think Lonzo would go on to lead the team in scoring at the end of the season. That obviously didn’t happen, but it was still nice to see the rookie flirt with a triple-double and a 30-point game.
This was Lonzo’s highest-scoring game of his rookie season as he led the team in points and even outscored his opposing guards, Devin Booker and Eric Bledsoe.
Lonzo did a lot of his damage to the Suns in the fourth quarter, scoring eight points in a 2 1/2-minute span, including a floater that put the Lakers up 130-122 with 1:35 left to play. Well-respected veteran Tyson Chandler talked about Lonzo after the game, saying this.
"“He gets the ball down quick regardless of whether it’s scores or misses, which puts a lot of pressure on the defense as far as getting back. He has a great feel as a young player for the game.”"
Lonzo obviously never had another scoring night like this for the rest of the season. His whole first season was a bit of a let down considering all of the expectations that were thrown at him.

With that being said, he will have a whole summer to work on his shot and his whole overall game. After that, hopefully, games like the five listed in this article will happen more often in the 2018-19 season.
