Iowa State G, Lindell Wigginton
Lindell Wigginton is someone that is taking advantage of the new draft process. He decided to declare for the draft after his freshman year but did not hire an agent. So, he will be able to take part in the draft process but can return to Iowa State if he chooses.
People at Iowa State are certainly hoping that he returns for his sophomore season. Wigginton had a strong freshman campaign, as he led the Cyclones with 16.7 points per game, which ranked fifth in the Big 12.
Wigginton is a score-first combo guard that will have to improve his playmaking and decision making to make it at the next level. Given the lack of talent around him at Iowa State at times his shot selection was inconsistent. He also isn’t an explosive athlete, which causes him to struggle at times around the rim or in traffic.
Where Wigginton does excel is shooting the ball. He made 40.1 percent of his 3-point attempts, something NBA teams will like. However, his free throw shooting needs improvement, as he knocked down only 66 percent from the foul line.

Wigginton is likely to return to school. While he shows promise as a scorer, he needs to improve the other facets of his game. Another season at college would do him well to improve his stock.
