January 23rd: Celtics @ Lakers (W, 108-107)

28 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 10/16 on field goals, 5/7 on 3s

After talking about those two losses, let’s get back to the wins, shall we?

During a recent appearance on Kevin Garnett’s show Area 21, Kuzma talked about this game being the highlight of his rookie season. We may not have it as the best game of his first season, but it was a close call.

This was his 4th most efficient game from the 3-point line as he made 5-of-7. He also had his 5th most points of the season to go along with 4 rebounds and 3 assists. The stat line isn’t super impressive, but it’s what he did in the 4th quarter of this game that puts it at number 2 on the list.

Kuzma scored 17 of his 28 points in the 4th quarter while dropping highlight plays left and right. The play below was one of the Lakers’ best plays of the year and was definitely Kuzma’s best pass of the year.
