3. Gary Trent Jr., SG, Duke

Gary Trent Jr. may be the best 3-point shooter coming out of the draft. He averaged 14.5 points per game and shot the three at a 40 percent clip. He made 97 3-pointers in his freshman season at Duke.

When Trent Jr. is in his bag, he’s deadly. His best game was against the University of Miami when he put up 30 against the U.

The Lakers were one of the worst 3-point shooting teams in the league this past season, so adding someone like Trent Jr. could be in the cards for Los Angeles.

He does lack athleticism, however, and he is very slow in terms of lateral quickness. As a result, there are questions of whether he can contribute on the defensive side of the ball or not.

Should the purple and gold decide to draft Trent Jr., he would be a great fit alongside Lonzo Ball since he can play off the ball and he can even play the three at times as well.
