4.Landry Shamet, Guard, Wichita State

Landry Shamet showed signs of maturity in his last season for Wichita State and became a leader and key player for their run into the NCAA Tournament.

He averaged just about 15 points, 3.2 rebounds and 5.2 rebounds per contest in his junior season at Wichita State. He’s a combo guard that knows how to play within the system.

Shamet is a deadly three-point shooter. He shot 44 percent from behind the arc last season. He can create his own shot or can catch and shoot as well. He is also very efficient by taking good shots.

Shamet is just an overall smart player who would make almost any team better. He has a chance to be a very good role player and maybe even a starter on a really good team that needs to fill a hole at the guard position.

Shamet does need to beef up in order to handle the type of physicality that the NBA brings on a nightly basis. He also needs to work on his footwork and lateral quickness so that defenders don’t get by.
