The Phoenix Suns filled a need in the frontcourt, at the center position, with the first overall pick in DeAndre Ayton. Now, they add more depth on the wing with Boise State forward, Chandler Hutchison, with the No. 16 overall pick.

Hutchison drew a lot of attention at the NBA Combine because it was believed he received a promise from a team in the late teens. This is a good range for him, as Hutchinson is ready to produce right away. He is a little older than some of the other prospects, but that shouldn’t hurt him.

Hutchison was the go-to scorer for the Broncos, averaging 20 points per game last season. He needs to develop his jump shot a little more, but he can fill it up. Hutchison did more than just score at Boise State, as he also averaged 7.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game.

A lineup with Devin Booker, T.J Warren, Josh Jackson, Ayton and Hutchison would be a lot of fun to watch. They would get the job done on both ends of the court and would be a very versatile lineup to deploy.

The stat-stuffing that Hutchison provided at Boise State should continue in the NBA. He can help out in multiple areas and give the Suns a solid rotation player to help fill out their roster.
