The Philadelphia 76ers added an athletically gifted player in Miles Bridges to help on the wings with their lottery selection. Now, with the No. 26 overall pick, the 76ers will add some explosiveness to their backcourt with Josh Okogie.

Okogie is the type of players that NBA executives love. He is a freak athlete, providing one of the best performances at the NBA Combine. In addition, he also great size, which profiles him as a great defender.

Okogie was relied upon as the to-go scorer at Georgia Tech, so his shooting percentages aren’t great. Without much offensive talent around him, he was asked to bail out the offense on multiple occasions.

Shot selection is an area of concern for Okogie, but with more talent around him, it is an issue that should fix itself. However, his 3-point shooting and free throw shooting provide rays of hope that his overall efficiency can improve.

Okogie averaged 18.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists 1.8 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. He gets it done on both ends of the court and would be an excellent addition to a 76ers team that is on the rise.

Okogie will be only 20 in September, so there is still plenty of time for him to develop. Given the wing players that the 76ers have hitting free agency, Okogie would be a worthwhile selection at No. 26.
