Ending the Season

Going into the playoffs (hopefully), the Lakers will enjoy some easy competition transitioning into a very tough end to the season. They will play the Nets, Kings, and Hornets all at home during the last week or so of March, which are all very winnable games. The last six games of the season will include road matchups against the Pelicans, the Thunder, and the Clippers (“road game”), in addition to a home matchup against the Warriors, with the final two games coming in the Staples Center against the improved Jazz and the Trail Blazers.

It’ll be scary heading into those final six games if the Lakers are jostling for seeding or, even worse, playoff contention. The thing is that the whole season will be tough given the Western Conference, and that the Lakers share the same division as the Warriors. The Lakers can’t focus on performing in different stretches, they have to have extreme focus for all eighty-two.

But for the fans out there, keep these stretches in mind as the season kicks off.
