MIAMI, FL – MARCH 1: Brandon Ingram /

– Shoot 40 percent from three-point range

In his rookie season, Ingram really struggled with his shot. Ingram shot just 40 percent from the field and 29.4 percent from the three-point line. In the NBA now, being able to shoot the three-pointer.

Coming into his second season, Ingram certainly improved his jump shot, and it showed. Ingram was able to shoot 47 percent from the field and 39 percent. Even though the Lakers struggled as a team shooting the ball from beyond the arc, Ingram did it quite efficiently.

While Ingram did only shoot 1.8 three-pointers per game, the efficiency he shot it certainly made him a threat. As Ingram hopes to improve as a player again next season, hitting the 40 percent mark as a three-point shooter would be very impressive.

Considering that he shot under 30 percent as a rookie, shooting over 40 percent from deep would be an impressive accomplishment. With the addition of LeBron James this offseason, there are likely going to be a lot of open three-pointers for players like Ingram on the Lakers. Teams are going to want to see if he can hit the shot with consistency, as they will certainly be focusing on James. In all likelihood, we will see Ingram shoot more than two three-pointers per game next season. If he is also able to shoot 40 percent, he will see his scoring average increase.
