– Michael Beasley

One of the quietly good offseason signings for the Lakers was Michael Beasley. With the Lakers’ desire to play small ball lineups, Beasley can really fit in well for their frontcourt. However, so far in the preseason, Beasley has not had an easy go of it. Beasley has suffered a few minors little injuries already, but he hasn’t missed a game for the Lakers so far.

Last season with the Knicks, Beasley played really well, as he averaged 13.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. One of the things that will be constantly monitored for the Lakers this season is how well they do on the glass. Even though he doesn’t have the reputation of being a great rebounder, Beasley can certainly help the Lakers in that area.

With Ingram and LeBron both out, Beasley will be getting the start for the Lakers on Friday night. Even though he hasn’t scored in double figures yet in the preseason, Beasley should be in a great position to on Friday night. Beasley is certainly not shy about shooting the ball, and there should be plenty of shots available for the guys that are playing against the Warriors.
