1. They will win the championship

This is definitely the boldest prediction we can make. In fact, it is the boldest prediction to make because people aren’t picking the Lakers to win it all this year. After several years of missing the playoffs and trying to rebuild, could they make it all the way and win the championship this year?

They have champions on the team now who can help the young core get their mentality in championship mode. They have LeBron James, who took a Cleveland Cavaliers team that wasn’t better than this current Lakers team, to the finals.

The Warriors are a supervillain team that continues to play incredible ball and they signed DeMarcus Cousins this summer, adding to their arsenal. They are a team full to the top with All-Stars, shooters, and threats from every corner. They are almost always the obvious team picked each season to win it all but they could be threatened by a newly revamped Lakers team that is ready to shock the world.

The Lakers added a sharpshooter in Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk aka Svi from the draft, along with Moritz Wagner aka Moe who showed signs of great shooting during his limited time in the Summer League. So the team has shooters and can give the Warriors a run for their money.
