Role Player Grades

A. Josh Hart is a bad man. The former NCAA champion was on an absolute tear against the Spurs. Hart finished the night with 20 points and 10 rebounds while grabbing two steals.
Moreover, he scored four triples and shot a team-high 57.1 percent from deep. Josh has proven that he has All-Star potential and that sooner or later he will have to be considered for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s starting position.
. SG. Los Angeles Lakers. JOSH HART

A. With Rajon Rondo sidelined by a three-game suspension, Lonzo Ball took over starting point guard duties against the Spurs and made a strong case for himself.
The second-year pro finished the night with 14 points, six rebounds, and six assists in 33 minutes of play. More importantly, Zo shot 55.6 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from deep. If Ball keeps this up he will definitely justify his position for starting PG.

But, even if he does not, his value to the team is right at the top.
. PG. Los Angeles Lakers. LONZO BALL

B. JaVale McGee has been one of the brightest spots so far from the Lakers’ free agency signings. The two-time champion showed up once again as he scored 16 points while grabbing eight rebounds and getting one block.
Unfortunately, McGee fouled out in only 28 minutes of action. With the big gap of depth and inexperience at the center position, it will be vital for McGee to be able to stay on the court late in games. He should continue to be a force on both ends, but let’s hope he can calm down with the jumping on defense.
. C. Los Angeles Lakers. JAVALE MCGEE
