3. Luke Walton May Have Lost The Team!!!

It’s time to start facing facts here. The Lakers are disjointed and it’s not because of the way this team was assembled. This team looked unprepared and lacked total focus. With all of the drama with Walton getting the riot act from Magic Johnson, this is the time LeBron James, Rajon Rondo and the veterans show their support for their coach. Last night, they did not.

The meeting was on Tuesday. Let’s see how the team responded…

On Wednesday against the Mavericks, the Lakers blow a big lead in the fourth quarter giving up a 17-4 run. No one knows what could have happened had Wesley Matthews Jr. not committed one of the dumbest fouls in NBA history. Even then, LeBron James almost choked it away missing the first free throw before hitting the second.

On Saturday against the Trail Blazers, the Lakers blow a 20 point lead in the fourth quarter. JaVale McGee and Rajon Rondo played well enough down the stretch to hold off a monumental collapse.

Last night, a complete no-show. If Magic Johnson wants to really turn this around…

He will see this game as drastic!

Finally, I would like to give a special shout out to the TV announcers, Stu Lantz and Bill MacDonald. I can’t stress how bad this team looked on the floor, but these two guys made the telecast entertaining. I learned a lot from Stu Lantz by way of him analyzing the Lakers mistakes without blasting these guys as they deserved.

It would have been very easy to call these guys unprofessional in their performance (Much like Jim Peterson did of Karl-Anthony Towns) but they didn’t. They kept an even keel and based on their demeanor you would have never know the Lakers were getting lambasted.
