Offensive Team Grades

Offense: A

Scoring: A

The Lakers have shown that they can score with ease. They have countless players who can create for themselves and a solid bench with players who know and accept their roles. Last night the team had five double-digit scorers, of which four scored 20 or more. The team also scored above 100 points yet again and has yet to score below 105 on the season. Let’s keep the scoring rolling.

Shooting: A

Finally! The team shot 48.4 percent from the floor, but a mind-blowing 44.1 percent from deep. If that latter percentage seems skewed to you, let me just mention that the Lakers made a season-high 15 three-pointers. Josh Hart definitely helped in this department last night, but with this team, it will probably always be someone different from deep.

Rebounding: A+

The Lakers had 12 offensive rebounds. This was great but even better in the context that the Timberwolves had a total of only 29 defensive rebounds. Thank you Tyson Chandler (and still JaVale McGee).

Passing: A+

Just like scoring, this is a no non-sense department for the Lakers. The team out-assisted the Wolves by 10 and had 32 on the night. Rajon Rondo and LeBron James led the way with 10 and nine assists, respectively.
