1. LeBron James did what he was supposed to!
LeBron James had two types of games in this contest.
He had a first quarter to forget, missing five of his first six shots in the game. This play set social media on fire.

Luka Doncic denied LeBron James with two blocked shots down under the basket. Soon after that, he took a charge. This all happened in the first quarter. The only thing is…in basketball, there are four quarters.
After that, boy things changed.

LeBron James overcame his slow start to stuff the stat sheet with a Lakers high 28 points while grabbing four rebounds and dishing out four assists. In the second quarter, he hit his next five shots from the field.
Understand, he started slowly from the field early but he still finished 12-of-21 from the field. Plus he provided plenty of highlights.
Right here, LeBron James received a pass from Kyle Kuzma in a simple pick and roll play and the Dallas Mavericks looked like they had no intentions of trying to take a charge.
Would you? I wouldn’t either!

Right here, Wesley Matthews goes into the paint and tries to make a jump pass (Anyone figured out the foul thing? Okay I’ll let it go!). Lonzo Ball makes the steal (Boy are we going to talk about this dude! Stay tuned!) and in one motion flips the ball to LeBron for the slam dunk! As you could see Dallas Mavericks guard Devin Harris ran back just in time to take pictures and the ball out!
A funny thing about Wesley Matthews though in this game.
He played very well in the first matchup scoring 21 points and getting pretty much what he wanted in that game until that incident no one can explain at the end of the game.
It seemed that he started running his mouth to LeBron after he fouled him in the second half. To be clear, Matthews did not nearly have the effect in this game as he did the last. He only finished with 12 points and spent most of the night in foul trouble.
LeBron started busting his behind from that point on. He kept the game out of reach scoring 11 points in the 4th quarter…aka winning time. Then he just told Matthews to shut up here.
Oh, it wasn’t a free throw to beat him this time!

Superstars do things like this and LeBron was the superstar in this game. Plus it was in the realm of the planned offensive scheme of Magic Johnson!
He was the best player on the floor!
Let me tell you who gave him a run for his money though…
