3. The Lakers can actually stop people! Seriously!

The Lakers would not be in the sixth seed without this man; Tyson Chandler! If you think differently, you don’t know basketball. LeBron James is LeBron James and his reverting back to old habits may have helped, but this guy is the undisputed reason why the Lakers are better.

Why?

Because he comes to work and does his job every day. His job is to rim protect and provide leadership to his younger teammates and they are buying what he is selling. He has done everything that was laid out here.

Tonight was different. Chandler had his first double-figure scoring game with the Lakers scoring 13 points while grabbing 12 rebounds. But it’s bigger than that. Tonight you could see the inspiration on the defensive end in Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram.

Luka Doncic is the leading candidate for NBA’s Rookie of the Year award. I think they can Fed-Ex the award now.

But he has played two atrocious games against the Lakers. Ingram with his reach gives Doncic fits. Ball had five steals when he fouled out and Ingram had one and he was in foul trouble as well. But you can deal with the fouls in this game because of the aggressiveness that both young guys played with.

It’s always easier to gamble on the perimeter when you know you have a rim protector to count on.

JaVale McGee could not stay on the floor because of foul trouble all night, but because of Chandler’s play, it didn’t matter. Think it would have mattered earlier this season?

The Loss of a Great Man

This report is dedicated to former President George H.W. Bush…

Mr. Bush left this Earth on Friday, November 30th, 2018. He was 94 years old. He was an American hero that served his country in the military. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed basketball as a sport. Champions of all sports got to go to the White House and celebrate one of the if not THE most athletic Presidents in history.

Rest in peace, Mr. President.
