– LaMarcus Aldridge
One of the key players that the Los Angeles Lakers will be focusing on is Spurs forward, LaMarcus Aldridge. As an All-Star big man, Aldridge is one of the top offensive big men in the league with his array of moves.
In two games against the Lakers this season, Aldridge played well in both of them, with a monster game in the overtime win. In that game, Aldridge totaled 37 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists. Aldridge wasn’t able to have as good as a game in the second matchup, but he still played well for the Spurs.
One of the reasons why Aldridge had so much success in the first game was because the Lakers lacked a backup for JaVale McGee. However, the Lakers now have Tyson Chandler, who will surely be seeing a lot of time on Aldridge. Chandler has really helped improve the Lakers’ defense, especially against big men. Aldridge is a very talented player, but the Lakers will be in a much better position to guard him this time around.
Aldridge is averaging a double-double this season, and with his success against the Lakers, the team will certainly be focused on slowing him down. If they are able to do so, they will be in a good position to win.
