– Josh Hart
Due to the injury to Ingram, the Lakers will likely be turning to Hart for more playing time. Hart has played well this season, and he is certainly capable of handling the extra minutes. In the win over the Spurs, Hart had to deal with a lot of foul trouble, which resulted in him only playing 13 minutes. In the first half, Hart picked up three fouls in a matter of about one minute, and was forced to sit.
However, when Hart wasn’t even foul trouble on Wednesday, he played quite well. Hart brings a lot of the intangibles when he is on the court, as he is an excellent two-way player. With the game close down the stretch, Hart wasn’t afraid to take big shots, and he hit arguably the biggest three-pointer of the game.
As long as Ingram is out for, either Hart or Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will likely be inserted into the starting lineup. Both players will certainly see an uptick in minutes, as they will be taking over at shooting guard for Ingram. Assuming Hart doesn’t get into foul trouble again on Friday night, he should be seeing starters-type minutes against the Spurs.
